For her own safety, modern day, single mom, Lizzy McAllister is forced to bow to the medieval men who surround her when she's thrust back in time to the 16th century against her will. When Lizzy finds herself trapped in time with Fin, the one man she finds both irresistible and maddening, she agrees to combine forces with him to rid Scotland of the evil witch, Grainna.

Finlay MacCoinnich's attraction to Lizzy sizzles the very air they breathe. Tearing down the solid walls the woman has built around her won't be easy, but he's willing to do anything to keep her by his side. When a spell cast by their deadliest foe throws them forward in time, will they manage to find their way back in time to save their family from peril? And will Lizzy willingly stay in his time, or abandon him altogether?

Their were some good parts because of Catherine Bybee talent. I have read most of her books and have never given any of them less than four stars and <90% five star. This book just didn't seem to have a consistent direction. Similar to modern movies that depend on special affects this book seemed to continually fabricate another "gift" for the Druids or Grainna to achieve their goal. The main characters were good and their personalities were developed in prior two novels. They were likable and distinct. The only new interesting character, Tatiana, was killed off. I must admit, fantasy is not my style, but the first two books in this series were entertaining and enjoyable. This one seemed a little over the top. I usually have not been able to put one of her books down, but this one I had little little problem.

Redeeming Vows (Audible Audio Edition) Catherine Bybee David Monteath Audible Studios Books Reviews

I can't believe I nearly missed the conclusion to the MacCoinnich Time Travel Series! I just had no idea it had been released but I'm so glad I snatched it up in the nick of time! So many times, I encounter series' where one or a few books don't hold the same type of magic that the first had, and I'm pleased to say, this is not one of them! The three books in the series, Binding Vows, Silent Vows and now Redeeming Vows, read as a seamless piece of work, where characters stay true to the first time we encounter them and if changes do occur, they still remain true to character. This book finally tells the story of Tara's sister (from Binding Vows) Liz and Duncan's brother (also from Binding Vows) Fin. The two first encounter each other in Silent Vows and I remember being drawn to them from the very start! The chemistry between these two were intense in the beginning and remain that way.

Supporting characters in Redeeming Vows also have such strong personalities that I'd love to read more about them. Including Liz's son Simon, and the youngest MacCoinnich's, Cian and Amber. There is an art to being drawn to characters who don't take center stage in a book and Ms.Bybee definitely knows that art form well. From first encountering Fin in Binding Vows and then being introduced to Liz in Silent Vows, I have always wanted to see their story unfold, either separate or together, the same goes for the younger cast members in Redeeming vows. I feel they each would have interesting stories to tell.

I'm trying not to give away too much, but this conclusion in the series has one final story with Grianna who has been the constant villain since we first encountered her in Binding Vows. Character powers unfold more in depth. This book has an incredible amount of action and of course romance that keeps you wanting to know what's going to happen next. This was definitely a fitting conclusion and Catherine Bybee, I'm dying to read more of your work!
What an amazing adventure.
Fin and Lizzy yup it is their story and what a story. Since they first locked horns these two have been dancing around each other not wanting to admit what everyone else could see. So glad to see it finally happen. Fin is perfect for Lizzy well they are perfect for each other.
Action packed, lots of suspense, steamy hot sexy times, romance and laughter. Loved meeting Selma and Jake, they are too funny together ha!!
Truly an epic ending to this awesome trilogy but not the end of the series.....thank goodness!!!
A very good continuation of the series. Read it in under a day, very hard to put down...The rest of Fin’s and Lizzy’s story. New characters, new gifts, more fights with Graiina. Best to read series in order though there are hints to update you if you haven’t.
Catherine Bybee knocked this series out of the park!! This was an awesome ending for a wonderful series... In Redeeming Vows, we find Fin and Lizzy's story finally!! There was so much tension between them in the last book "Silent Vows", you knew these two were destined for each other. Finlay and Lizzy were always were at odds with one another, but you knew when they finally had their showdown they were going to finally going to admit their love for one another.

I think I fell in love with Finlay by the way he accepted Simon, he immediately fell into a fatherly role and that endeared him to me. Lizzy is a single mom, left to take care of raising her son on her own, so it was a struggle for her to see and accept Finlay's good intentions.

After finally giving in to their lust for one another, Grainna, the evil witch, transports the couple to the 21st century. As they try to find a way back, Lizzy comes to terms with her true feelings for Finlay and she knows that her home is not in the 21st century but with the family she has come to love and accept in Scotland.

There is a big showdown between Grainna and the MacCoinnich's, I was on the edge of my seat!

You will love this book. I love each book and I honestly can't say I have a favorite. I fell in love with the entire family and I am anticipating Amber's and Cian's story.
Redeeming Vows is another magnificent story in the MacCoinnick Time travel series. This is Fin and Liz's story featuring Liz's son Simon. Cathrine Bybee has expanded her storyline to include the Druid gift of Shape Shifting and other gifts that empower the MacCoinnicks and there mates. The war against Grianna the evil Druid Witch continues into an epic battle. Grianna/Gwen Adams is one of the best written female villains I have ever read and that is saying a lot. This story is full of action battles, passion, romance, sex and humor and unfortunately sadness. I like Fin and Liz much more then I thought I would as a couple. They really worked well as a couple and there love and the passion shines through. Fin's love for Simon Liz's son is very believable and touching. I Highly Recommend Redeeming Vows. for your reading pleasure. I do suggest you read the books in order. Each book sets the stage for the next book. I can't wait to get start on book 4 Highland Shifter.

MacCoinnick Time Travel could be a TV show it is so well written. You feel like you are right there in the scenes with the characters!!
